Study Abroad: Northern Ireland and Austria

Saint Augustine said it well, “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” For me, studying abroad was an ideal way to see and learn about the world and expand my views on how we interact with it and the people in it. Because of this, I decided to take advantage of our university’s superb exchange program. In the beginning, I had many concerns about going abroad; my financial status, the application process, the independence required, and cultural barriers were all challenges that I didn’t know I could overcome. Study Away: A Year in Northern Ireland and Switzerland

There are many reasons why people decide to embark on European Study Abroad. Maybe it’s because we’ve lusted over a specific country, been Tumblr-ing Europe for far too long, or have otherwise been daydreamed about different opportunities. I had 3 criteria for attending university: To go to a small school, to join an organization and to Study Abroad. Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 gave me that opportunity.
